UK-based software engineering consultancy

Software that ships.
Code that survives audit.

We build custom software end to end, rescue projects that have stalled, and pen-test what you already run — with the compliance evidence regulated sectors actually ask for.

What we do

Robust, compliant software across the full development lifecycle — from greenfield builds to legacy rescues.

Custom Software Development

End-to-end development of mobile apps, web platforms, embedded & IoT device software, REST/GraphQL APIs, and B2B & B2C SaaS products. We own the full stack — architecture, build, test, and delivery — and integrate AI/ML capabilities (LLM-powered features, predictive models, ML pipelines) where they add measurable value.

Code Rescue

Stalled project? We step into codebases others have abandoned or struggled with — diagnosing problems, clearing technical debt, and getting delivery back on track. Languages include Go, Java, Kotlin, PHP, Python and more.

Cyber Security & Penetration Testing

Security assessments, threat modelling, and hands-on penetration testing for web apps, APIs, and infrastructure. We also advise on regulatory compliance (GDPR, ISO 27001, and sector-specific frameworks).

Clean Room Software Rebuild

Independent reimplementation of existing software using clean-room design: a separation between the team that documents functional specifications and the team that writes new code from them, with no access to the original source. Used to escape vendor lock-in, resolve licensing disputes, or replace unsupported systems without infringing third-party IP.

Software for GP Practices & Dental Surgeries

Patient record and practice management systems for primary care: appointment booking, e-prescribing, and clinical workflows built to NHS interoperability standards (GP Connect, HL7 FHIR, SNOMED CT). Developed to NHS Data Security and Protection Toolkit (DSPT) and CQC requirements, with UK GDPR-compliant handling of patient data throughout.

Software for Research & Clinical Trials

Trial management systems for academic and clinical research: randomisation (with stratification, minimisation, and blinding), electronic data capture (EDC) and eCRF/ePRO platforms, and statistical tooling for trial design. Built to ICH Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and 21 CFR Part 11 standards.

How we work

Four steps, no surprises. You know the price and the scope before anyone writes code.

  1. 1

    Scoping call

We work out what you actually need, what already exists, and what "done" looks like. No charge.

  2. 2

    Fixed-price quote

A written scope and a fixed price. If the scope changes later, we re-quote rather than quietly billing more.

  3. 3

    Build in the open

Regular working increments you can see and use, in your repository, with tests and documentation as we go.

  4. 4

    Handover

We hand over the running system and the documentation that goes with it, so your own team can run it. Ongoing support is there if you want it.

Why engineers, not an agency

Regulated software fails on the details — audit trails, data handling, the evidence pack. We work in those details rather than handing them to someone else.

Compliance is built in, not bolted on
GDPR, ISO 27001, NHS DSPT, ICH GCP and 21 CFR Part 11 shape the architecture from day one, so the audit isn't a rewrite.
We take on the difficult ones
Undocumented legacy systems, abandoned codebases, and clean-room rebuilds under legal constraint are routine work here.
Straight answers on cost
If an off-the-shelf platform would serve you better than a bespoke build, we will tell you so — see the pricing page.

Common questions

The things people ask us before the first call.

What does a project cost?

Engagements start from £1,000 for custom development and code rescue, £2,000 for healthcare and clinical trials work, and £3,000 for penetration testing. Those are starting points, not quotes — the final figure depends on scope, integrations and compliance requirements. See the full pricing breakdown.

Can you take over a project another developer started?

Yes — that is what our code rescue service is for. We start by auditing what exists and reporting honestly on whether it is worth continuing or rebuilding, before committing you to either.

Do you work with NHS practices and clinical researchers?

Yes. We build primary care systems to NHS interoperability standards (GP Connect, HL7 FHIR, SNOMED CT) and against the NHS Data Security and Protection Toolkit, and trial platforms to ICH Good Clinical Practice and 21 CFR Part 11.

What is a clean room rebuild, and when do I need one?

It is an independent reimplementation where one team documents what the existing system does and a separate team writes new code from that specification, with no access to the original source. It is used to escape vendor lock-in, resolve a licensing dispute, or replace an unsupported system without infringing third-party IP.

How quickly will you reply?

A person replies to enquiries, usually within one working day. Send us the details of your project and we will come back with next steps.
